director | stage manager

Susanna Jaramillo is a Queens-based director and stage manager hailing from Cranford, New Jersey. Artistically, Susanna believes in radical inclusion and the creation of space for typically under-represented stories, people, and experiences. She aims to create work that subverts our expectations of identity and uplifts voices that are left out of the theatrical canon. Her work lives in a world of sensorial extremes and seeks to investigate the ways that we do, or, more frequently, don’t engage with the intersectional nature of identity and what that means for each of us

As a creator and stage manager, she has worked with The Geffen Playhouse, MCC Theater, Roundabout, Second Stage, The Atlantic, JACK, The Fisher Center at Bard, The Workshop Theatre, The Motor Company, Keen Company, John Jay College, and educationally at the Professional Performing Arts School.

Susanna was a member of the Drama League Director's Project's inaugural directing assistantship program and Roundabout's Director's Group Cohort 4. She is the recipient of a Mercury Store project week, where she will be developing her own original project titled: azn sad grl.
